What is Keepaboo?
Keepaboo is a Web service, which enables parents to record, preserve and share the precious moment of their children's lives. Using Keepaboo, you can run a parent diary, upload pictures, record developmental milestones, view growth charts, save your child's memorable quotes and more.

What is the Keepaboo LifeBook?
All the items you create on Keepaboo are automatically added to your child's LifeBook - a colorful 3D online book you can browse and share with friends and family.

Can I create custom books with my own selected items?
Sure. In addition to the automatically created LifeBook, Keepaboo enables you to create, browse and share fully customized books with any item of your choice.

What is the Keepaboo timeline?
The interactive timeline provides you with an instant, one-click access to all your Keepaboo items. Each new item you create is represented by an icon on the timeline. Rollover the icon to see the item's date and title. Click on the icon to load the item.

How do I navigate through Keepaboo?
You can navigate and explore all your items through the Keepaboo timeline or upper navigation bar. While viewing an item, you can browse through the previous and next items on the section (diary, milestones, pictures, etc.) by clicking on the arrows on the main window. You can also view all your items by flipping through your child's LifeBook.

What are the Keepaboo skins?
Keepaboo offers two skins: blue and pink. Each skin gives a different look and feel to the Keepaboo interface, the main page headers and the LifeBook cover. By default, boys get the blue skin, while girls have the pink one.

Can I Change the Keepaboo skin?
Yes. You can instantly switch to the other skin by selecting the 'Change skin' option on your Keepaboo homepage.

Can I run multiple profiles on the same account?
Yes. You can run a unique profile for each one of your children with a single Keepaboo account. You can create a new profile by clicking on the "Add new child" button on your Keepaboo homepage. You can easily switch between the profiles from the homepage or through the small window at the upper right corner of any Keepaboo page.

Who can access and view my Keepaboo content?
Only you can access and view your Keepaboo pages. Your Keepaboo account is password protected, and your content is not accessible to search engines. If you choose to share a selected item with friends and family, they will get to see only the specific content you chose to share with them. Diary
What is the Keepaboo 'Diary' section?
The Keepaboo Diary section enables you to keep an online diary, express your thoughts and feelings as a parent, and write about your baby or child. You can access the diary section through the first tab on the Keepaboo navigation bar.

Can I add images to a diary entry?
Yes. You can add pictures to the diary by clicking on the 'Add image' button on the diary text editor. You can also add emoticons by clicking on the smiley icon.

Can I change the background of the diary page?
Yes. Just click on the 'Change background' button.

Can a diary entry be longer than one page?
Yes. If you exceed the first page space, a scroll bar will be added to the diary entry. On the LifeBook and your other books, the entry will be divided into separate pages.

Where are the pictures I upload to the diary saved?
The diary pictures, like the other pictures uploaded outside the Pictures section, are saved in the 'Miscellaneous Gallery' on the Picture Manager.
You can access the Picture Manager by clicking on the 'Add image' button on the diary text editor.

Can I share a diary entry?
Yes. Click on the 'Share It' button to send the diary entry to your friends and family.

Milestones
What is the Keepaboo 'Milestones' section?
The Keepaboo Milestones section enables you to easily record your child's developmental milestones and big events, using text, pictures and illustrations.

What is the milestone list?
The milestone list features common developmental milestones. You can choose a milestone from the list or create a unique milestone from scratch.
Each milestone on the list comes with a matching illustration, which serves as a background if you add text or pictures and appears at full opacity if you don't.

I created my own milestone, but I'd like to have one of these cute illustrations. What should I do?
Click on the 'Change background' button, browse through the backgrounds and select the illustration you're looking for.

Can I remove the milestone illustration?
Sure. Just click on the 'Change Background' button at the bottom of the milestone page and select one of the other background templates. Select the last template if you want plain white Background.

Do I have to add text and images to the milestone page?
No. If you choose a milestone from the list and don't add any text or image, the milestone page will still look neat, showing the illustration at full opacity.

Can I use more than one page for each milestone?

What is the 'Pictures' section?
Accessible through the 3rd tab on the upper navigation bar, the Keepaboo Pictures section enables you to upload, manage and view your child's pictures.

What is a picture gallery?
The pictures are divided into galleries. Each gallery has a unique title and date. You can upload pictures to a new galley or select an existing one.

How do I change the title of a picture?
Load the picture to the main window, click 'edit' and update the title/description underneath the picture. When done, click 'Save'.

How do I change the galley name?
Load the galley to the main window, click 'edit' and change the galley name in the header at the top of the window. Then, click 'Save'.

Are there limits on file sizes and file types?
You can upload photos up to 5MB in size. The supported file formats are: jpeg, gif and png.

How can I view the pictures in full size?
You can enlarge any of your pictures by clicking on the 'Enlarge Image' link or the magnifying glass icon underneath the picture.

Can I share a single picture?
Yes. Load the picture to the main window, click on the 'Share It' button and send the picture to your friends and family.

Can I share an entire gallery?
Yes. To share a gallery, click on the 'Share It' button and send it to your family and friends. Your guests will view the gallery pictures by flipping through a 3D online book. You can access this book through the My Books section.

What is the Picture Manager?
The Picture Manager is a picture managing platform for the following Keepaboo sections: Diary, Milestones and Quotes. The Picture Manager features a picture upload function, and provides you with an access to all your picture galleries.

What is the Keepaboo 'Growth' section?
The Keepaboo Growth section enables you to keep track of the physical growth of your baby or young child, utilizing interactive online growth charts.

What growth parameters can I track?
The Keepaboo Growth section enables you to track the weight and height of your child.

I didn't enter my child's weight and length at birth when I registered with Keepaboo. How do I enter them now?
To add your child's weight and length at birth, go to the growth section (the fifth tab on the Keepaboo navigation bar), and click on the 'Add New Growth Data'. Then, change the default date ("today") by clicking on the calendar icon and selecting your child's date of birth. Now that the date is set, just enter the weight and length (height) measurements and click on the 'Save' button.

Can I switch between the standard (imperial) and the metric systems?
Yes. You can enter any of the measurements in either one of the two systems and easily switch between them by simply moving the inch/cm pound/kg knobs.

Can I share a growth item?
Yes. Just click on the 'Share It' button and send it to your friends and family.

What is the Keepaboo 'Quotes' section?
The Keepaboo Quotes section provides you with a great way to treasure your child's memorable quotes from the very first words to the wise insights or funny one-liners. Each quote appears in a colorful talk bubble.

How do I enter a quote?
Click on the 'Add New Quote' button and enter the quote in the talk bubble.

Can I change the picture on the quote page?
Yes. Click on the 'Change picture' link and choose the picture you want.

The default font is quite big. What if the text I want to enter is long?
The font size automatically resizes to fit the text length. Try it out. It's fun.

Yes, click the 'Change template' button and choose another text bubble.

Keepabo Books
What is LifeBook?
Your child's LifeBook contains his/her entire Keepaboo content. It's created and updated automatically with every new item you add to Keepaboo. You can access the LifeBook by clicking on the 'View LifeBook' button on your Keepaboo homepage or by visiting the 'My Books' section ((the last tab on the Keepaboo navigation bar).

What is the difference between the LifeBook and a custom book?
A custom book is a book you create from scratch, by manually adding with any Keepaboo item of your choice. You can create as many custom books as you want with different themes, item types or time periods. You can share the LifeBook and/or your custom books with your friends and family.

How do I add an item to a book?
Any saved item is automatically added to your child's LifeBook. You can manually add it a custom book by clicking the 'Add to Custom Book' button. You can add an item to an already existing book, or create a new book.

How do I create a new book from scratch?
Click 'Create New Book' on the 'My Books' section (the last tab on the Keepaboo navigation bar.) Then, choose the items you want to add from the list on the left window. The main window features a preview of the item.
Click 'add this page to your book' button to add it to the new book. You can also start a new book, from any item page by clicking on the "Add to Custom Book' button, and selecting "Add to a new book".

Can I change the page order in a custom book?
Yes. In 'Create new custom book' or 'Edit book' modes, choose the page you want to move (on the right panel), and click the up and down arrows to change the of the page order.

Can I change the cover of a custom book?
Yes. In the 'Create new custom book' or 'Edit book' modes, click the 'Change cover' button and select the cover of your choice.

Can I edit my books?
Yes, In 'My Books', click 'Edit' on the book you want to modify. While in the edit mode, you can add new items, change the order of the pages, change the cover, or remove pages from the book.

Can I edit my child's LifeBook?
No. Unlike your custom books, the LifeBook is not editable.

Can I change or modify the content of my books?
To edit and modify a page in one of your books, go to the item's section (milestones, diary, quotes, etc), load the item and edit it. Once you complete the changes and save the revised item, the books that feature it will automatically update and show the new version of the item.

Can I print my Keepaboo books?
Not yet, but pretty soon you'll be able to order high-quality printed copies of your online Keepaboo books.

Sharing
What can I share with my friends and family?
You can share the LifeBook, any custom book, picture gallery or a single item.

How does sharing work?
Upon clicking the 'Share It' button, you are asked to enter your guest's email address. The recipient receives an email with a link to the item you chose to share with him/her. You can add a personal message to the email.

Can I share a Keepaboo item with several people at once?
Yes. You can add additional recipients by clicking the 'Add recipient' link in the 'Share' window.
